Q: Have you actually dug up a dinosaur?
A: Noooo – But I have been out to places other people have dug up dinosaur bones. I volunteer to work in the ‘prep’ area where we prepare the bones that have been found. That means we very carefully remove the rock and dirt away from the dinosaur bones so the specialist palaeontologists can identify what sort of bone and from what type of dinosaur. That is a much more comfortable place to work than out on the ground at a dig in the dirt and the heat and the flies….I get to sit in a comfortable chair in a cool (ish) building and I can get up and go and get a coffee anytime I want. and no flies!
Q: All all the dinosaurs found in Outback Queensland the same age?
A: Pretty much, within three or four million years…
